4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for two different purposes, and they are worth separating.
- To run the site. Some cookies are necessary for the website and the client portal to work at all, such as keeping you signed in and keeping your session secure. The site does not work properly without these.
- To measure our advertising. We advertise on Google, and we use Google's advertising technology to understand which ads lead people to get in touch. When somebody arrives from one of our ads and then sends us a message, that is recorded as a conversion, which tells us the ad did its job. It does not tell us who you are: we do not send Google your name, your email address, your phone number, or the contents of your message.
This technology is provided by Google and may set cookies that Google reads across websites.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and turning them off may affect some features of the site. You can also control what Google shows you and what it uses to decide, at myadcenter.google.com and adssettings.google.com.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in these limited ways:
- Service providers who perform work on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations: our website host, our email delivery provider, and the provider that runs our client portal and its database.
- Advertising measurement.Google, so that we can tell which of our ads lead people to contact us. What reaches Google is that a visit resulted in an enquiry, along with the browser and cookie information Google's own tag collects. We do not send Google your name, your email address, your phone number, or the contents of your message.
- Ticket drafting help, if you choose to use it. The client portal offers an optional helper that turns a description of a problem into a clear ticket. If you use it, what you type into that helper is sent to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, to work out the wording. Nothing else about you or your account goes with it, and they do not use it to train their models. The helper is optional and the ticket form works without it.
- Legal and safety purposes, where required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Under California law, our use of Google's advertising technology may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands and we do not sell your information. You can limit this through your browser settings or through Google's own ad settings, both linked in section 4. Section 8 explains your rights and how to reach us about them.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gecadi.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party sites and services, including our client portal. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
